Posted by: les on October 3, 2003 08:52 AMI'm not sure having the words "tropical storm" precede anyones name sounds tough. topical storm david...tropical storm larry.....tropical storm norman...tropical storm gus.....they all sound like a gay marry-go-round ride on a carnival cruise.

Posted by: dylan on October 3, 2003 11:55 AMI have not been this proud since the first time I witnessed my brother shoot a bottle-rocket out of his ass. Homecoming started here at West Grand H.S. I have the sensation of someone standing on my chest. I do have a topic for discussion: what is it about formal wear that elicits females to cry? I will be conducting my semi-annual survey at the dance a week from Saturday.
Posted by: stevec on October 3, 2003 12:29 PMStevie, perhaps it is the thoughts of a magical night. The guys spent fifteen minutes getting ready(five of which were spent looking for that elusive nosehair that likes to show itself at the most inoportune times) and the girls have spent days getting ready making themselves the object of everyone's(their own)desire. Then comes the big dance. The guys sit in a corner talking about manly stuff like sports and farts and the girls get pissed at the guys for not paying any attention to them. And then the after dance festivities which usually end up with the guys passed out and beer soaked while the girls end up sad because nobody complimented their hair and their new dress is soaked with beer and puke from only eating a slice of toast the night before so they don't look fat at the dance.
Perhaps it is thoughts like these that make the girls cry while dressed in formal wear. Thoughts of a magical night that should have been.

Sorry if I have offended anyone but it could be true. Of course there's all those happy feelings that happen when ever people get dressed up in formal wear at high school events. Oh, and sentiment as well. With themes like "This night will last forever" or "Pour Some Sugar On Me" who wouldn't cry.
Posted by: dylan on October 3, 2003 04:34 PMsorry i posted that twice by accident
