this sucks. elliot smith has taken his own life. that guy spent a lot of time in portland, i think that he was only 34..
Posted by larry at October 22, 2003 09:18 AMwhat a bummer. i was just talking with someone the other day about how it had been a long time since his last album.
Posted by: scott on October 22, 2003 10:56 AMyeah, it's been a while. i saw him 3 or 4 times during the last year and every time he said that the album was "almost, almost finished..". he played a lot of new songs that were really good that are/were going to be on it. it's too bad.
Posted by: anthony on October 22, 2003 11:25 AMWe have lost many great musicians in the last couple of months. It seems like the only one left is John Anderson. I saw him when he opened for the Statler Brothers Farewell Tour. I would say that John Anderson is the biggest thing since Steve Perry - with and without Journey. Oh Sherry!!
Posted by: hicountry on October 22, 2003 11:58 AMSteven, your musical tastes boggle the mind. Anyways, whatever happend to Billy Ocean?
Posted by: dylan on October 22, 2003 04:35 PMO Sherry indeed Stevie. But who the hell is John Anderson?
