man, since joining the technical workforce over 4 years ago, i have always loved that fact that most of my jobs were fairly easy, only having to work when "the internet was down" or someones machine crashed. i have been swamped today at work, at first i always get grumpy, but all the sudden i was thinking back to my days of throwing cans, or picking paper, or running equipment. some of those days were 12 hours and always outside in the heat, cold, rain.. and here i sit, bitching about a few phone calls.. funny.
Larry, I am saddened that you failed to mention your time at "Freddy's Lefsa". If I remember correctly their is a good Larry story associated with that place. I think you should share it with all the folks. It's both funny and disturbing. I'm glad I'm not a Lefsa fan!

My workplace would be a lot better if we all brought twelve packs on Friday and pulled up a bucket next to literature section. We could then proceed to bitch about work until early evening. I remember how those guys used to pound beers and take turns answering the phone. As soon as one guy's wife called, he would be the next to answer the phone. "Is Eddy there?" - "No, he just left, he should be home any moment." Then Byron would say, "Ed, you have the next call." By the way, Ed is helping Hjalmer with the new garage.
