the other night i went and saw napolean dynamite. really i was surprised at how funny it was. i highly recommend it. probably one of my favorite films.. oh, last night i went and saw rougue wave they palyed with another band that was super good, but i cant remember the name. i actually prefered the first band. i cant believe that i stayed the whole time. i also cant belive how much i hate hipster crowds. now granted, i would much rather be in a hipster crowd than any other type of crowd, but there was the skinny guy with the faux-hawk, tight highwaters, and members only jacket, the guy with the ironic mullet and diner jacket, all the band members had super tight shirts with 70's prints on, the girls had thrift store dresses and big heeled shoes, jesus, i could go on but its making me suuuuuper grumpy. add to the night that i wasnt drinking, making this all the more unbearable. fuk.. anyway, it was a decent show, i am glad i left the house for something other than a six pack..

I had a few when I was a kid and didn't like them then. It's interesting that the people who primarily wear them weren't old enough to wear them the first time around. Hmmm, I guess that's like any fad though; lots of old-style clothing always comes back into fashion. I still don't like it. I do however like 70's print t-shirts. Only not tight.
napoleon was alright i thought. the characters were interestin, but the story was a bit weak (mostly the school assembly ending)...also, i just couldn't shake the feeling that the movie was just trying too hard to be all quirky. i didn't hate it or anything, i just left feeling a bit disappointed. now let's talk about that ramones documentary....!

Napoleon Dynamite looked good but sucked ass. Well, I suppose it was better than most movies, but it was way overhyped.
As far as the "hipster" hating crowd: um, get over it. Just because someone didn't "live" through Members Only doesn't mean they "don't know what it's like". It's a fucking jacket not a philosophy.
Did you really go see Rogue Wave the other night? ... cuz I saw them the other night too. They opened for AC Newman here. I'm so in love with the bass player. Drool! But that lead singer dude really needs to do something with his receding hairline. I mean for real!
